The Italian Trade Commission -Trade Promotion Section of the Italian Embassy in Amman, in cooperation with Jordan Applied University (JAU), is pleased to announce the organization at the JAU premises, of two training courses focusing on the traditional and innovative cuisine of the Southern Italian Regions of Sicilia, Calabria, Apulia and Campania.
The Italian Trade Commission is a Government body patronized by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development with the mission of promoting the Made-in-Italy in the World and enhancing the Internationalization of the Italian companies.
The first course, taught by Chef Ippazio Turco and Chef Pietro Parisi from November 23rd to November 27th, has been focusing on recipes originating in the Southern Italian regions of Apulia and Campania. The second course, dedicated to typical dishes from Sicilia and Calabria, took place at the same location from November 30th to December 4th, under the leadership of Chef Pietro D’Agostino and Chef Luca Abbruzzino.
The training courses were aimed at attracting the participation by JAU students and faculty members as well as by chefs of renowned restaurants in Amman interested in expanding their knowledge about Italian regional cuisine.
This initiative has been made possible within the framework of the Southern Export Plan, a special and multi-year promotional program aimed at encouraging the promotion throughout the world of Southern Italy’s small and medium sized industries, their products, services, technology and image.
